Hanwoo BBQ in Seoul: compare Seolya Galbi cuts on the same weight basis

A search for Hanwoo BBQ in Seoul can return restaurants with very different cuts and serving formats. At Seolya Galbi Cheongdam, the published menu makes a like-for-like price comparison possible because several grilled dishes use a 100g unit. That does not make the cuts interchangeable or establish which one a diner will prefer.

Four menu lines, four different decisions

The Korean menu lists marinated galbi at KRW 57,000, unseasoned 특상 생갈비 at KRW 59,000, 26mm garlic tenderloin at KRW 49,000 and sirloin at KRW 45,000, each per 100g. The first comparison is seasoning versus no marinade; the next is rib versus tenderloin or sirloin. An order of one cut should not be described as another simply because all are Korean beef dishes.

What an equal-weight example does and does not tell you

At published unit prices, 100g of marinated galbi and 100g of garlic tenderloin add up to KRW 106,000 for meat. This is a calculation to compare menu lines, not a confirmed 200g package, minimum order or two-person bill. The actual amount also depends on orderable weights, meal dishes, drinks and any room charge. Staff grilling is listed as a service, not a separately priced course.

Plan the rest of the meal separately

The menu lists charcoal-grilled Hanwoo bulgogi at KRW 39,000 and galbi soup at KRW 19,000 as separate meal dishes. Decide whether the group wants additional grilled beef or a finished meal after the barbecue; do not add every dish to a supposed standard order. Seolya's live shop information currently shows dinner service only while lunch is temporarily paused. Verify both the menu and booking date before fixing a budget.
